As CEO of Wrays, I work closely with the Board and management team to develop and implement the firm’s strategic business plans.
I have held senior positions across the public and private sector and bring strategic leadership experience to support Wrays to build strong relationships with clients that result in successful long-term outcomes.
Prior to joining Wrays I was the Deputy Director General for IP Australia, responsible for IP Rights administration as the Commissioner of Patents and Registrar of Trade Marks, Designs and Plant Breeders’ rights. In this role I was able to develop a unique understanding of the Australian IP system and the emerging trends and challenges across all IP Rights. I also spent time in the Prime Minister and Cabinet Department as the Deputy Coordinator of Critical Technology Policy Coordination and have a good understanding of the emerging technology trends impacting on the IP eco system.
I have extensive management consultant experience with large professional services firms where I specialised in people and organisation transformation. I bring a combination of IP expertise with senior executive management experience to Wrays and I have a laser focus on change management, Human Resource Management, strategy and operational planning, service delivery, policy design, program and project management, governance, cultural transformation and uplifting workforce capability.
I am passionate about supporting Australia’s innovation economy and enjoy working alongside our world-class universities, research institutes and vibrant start-up communities to protect their intangible assets and contribute to the country’s economic growth.
