I am a Trainee Patent Attorney at Wrays, working with the Life Sciences team, where I’m fortunate to follow my passion for translating scientific developments into transformative, real-world outcomes and supporting clients in achieving their strategic goals.
My background is grounded in genetic technologies, microbiology, and agricultural science. I hold a Bachelor of Science from Curtin University and went on to complete my Honours, where I combined my interest in agricultural science with a drive to solve practical challenges through research.
Prior to joining Wrays, I spent three years at IP Australia as a patent examiner. This role provided valuable insight into patent prosecution from the examiner’s perspective, particularly in prior art searching, examination processes, and navigating the Australian patent system. This experience has equipped me with a unique skill set to offer well-informed, strategic advice across a broad range of technical subject matter.
Earlier in my career, I worked in the quality department of a not-for-profit bone bank, gaining hands-on experience with Australian regulatory frameworks and the application of medical technologies in improving patient outcomes. This deepened my appreciation for how scientific innovation translates into real-world solutions.
I’m passionate about building strong client relationships to help protect and maximise the value of their intellectual property. I’m proud to be part of Wrays, an organisation with a rich history, particularly in Western Australia, and to work alongside a team of experts dedicated to delivering holistic solutions for our clients.
