We are thrilled to announce that our Executive Chairman Gary Cox has been selected as a finalist for the Lawyers Weekly Intellectual Property Partner of the Year Award.
Gary has been recognised for his outstanding work during 2023 which demonstrated excellence in the area of IP.
Gary led the Wrays litigation team for one of the world’s largest biotechnology companies in defence of a key patent, one of the largest IP disputes in Australia in 2023. Gary also demonstrated significant examples of his leadership and technical expertise in all other areas of his IP practice.
Gary has shaped a positive firm culture resulting in retention rates which are unrivalled within the IP industry. He is a leader in the firm’s commitment to diversity and commitment to pro bono work, ensuring it is a part of the culture of the firm and regarded as a professional responsibility.
In addition to his role as Executive Chairman of Wrays, Gary is the founding Chairperson of Life Sciences WA, a not-for-profit organisation which began in 2021 to connect, accelerate and promote Western Australia’s life sciences ecosystem. This organisation is now one of the peak bodies for Life Sciences in Western Australia.
