Female founders looking to scale their business have until 5 pm (AEST) on 22 April 2021 to apply for an Australian Government grant of $25,000 to $480,000.
The program is designed to support startups founded by women as they expand into domestic and global markets, with an estimated $11.6 million available in funding for round 2.
In helping female entrepreneurs overcome disadvantages often experienced in getting access to finance and support, the initiative aims to boost the economy by increasing diversity in the startup landscape. And with only 22% of newly registered startups led by women, it is hoped this boost will go a long way to address this imbalance in Australia.
