Penny specialises primarily in the areas of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and agri-biotech.
Penny has a PhD in Molecular Microbiology from Murdoch University. She joined Wrays in 2001 after completing post-doctoral research positions at Edith Cowan University and the University of Western Australia, working in the area of human genetics. She was registered as a Patent and Trade Mark Attorney and gained a Master of Intellectual Property Law in 2004. She has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting local and overseas originating patent applications, acting in patent opposition proceedings and providing general infringement, validity and due diligence opinions.
